Legacy Giving
If you are considering making your will or changing your will, you have the opportunity to do something today that will bring lasting hope and human dignity to others in the future.
It will be YOUR legacy but It will benefit others.
Many poor families have already received Bóthar's life-saving animals simply because somebody like you included Bóthar in their will.
A bequest of any size, great or small, is of value to Bóthar.
Types of Bequest
There are four different ways of leaving a donation to charity in your will:
- A Pecuniary Bequest: This is simply a gift of a specific sum of money.
- A Legacy: This is a gift of a specific item.
- A Residuary Bequest: This is a gift of part or all that remains in your estate once the executors have discharged all of their other obligations under the terms of your will.
- A Codicil: This is a new clause inserted into a will that you have already made. It may be witnessed and signed in the same way as the original will.
Making a will is a relatively simple procedure, but it is always wise to have the professional advice of your solicitor when doing so.
