In December 2020 46 in-calf Irish dairy heifers left Ireland for Kosovo.
These heifers were donated by generous Irish farming families and donors the length and breadth of the land.
Many of the heifers were reared since calves in both Shelton Abbey Prison and Loughan House Prison, while others were reared by individual farmers and support groups.
Today, the original heifers that were gifted are into their third generation.
The heifer calves of the December 2020 shipment are now in calf themselves. It really is the gift that keeps on giving!!!
So you could say It’s a Hat Trick for the Bóthar heifers……..
