Hundreds of thousands of families in the Philippines have been affected by Typhoon Haiyan

The news of the last week has been tough to watch. Typhoon Haiyan has dominated the news with incredible tragedy and hopelessness. The response from Ireland has been tremendous, with emergency aid now arriving to the affected areas.

We have over 4,000 people involved in our programmes and most of them have been badly affected by the Typhoon. For the immediate future our fundraising efforts will be concentrating on providing food, water, shelter and other necessities. This will be followed by a redevelopment programme in the coming months.
