Empowering Communities: Bóthar's €10,000 Initiative for DMI Tanzania
To inspire inclusion and uplift the lives of women and girls in Tanzania, Bóthar is proud to announce a funding initiative of €10,000 for DMI Tanzania.
This funding initiative will:
- #InspireInclusion of women in agriculture and economic activity
- #InspireInclusion of trafficked women and girls back into their community and society in Tanzania
- #InspireInclusion for girls in education
#InspireInclusion in Agriculture:
One of the primary focuses of this initiative is the equitable participation of women in agriculture and economic activities. Women play a pivotal role in the agricultural sector, yet they often face challenges accessing resources and opportunities. The funding will help DMI Tanzania in its implementation of sustainable farming practices, providing women with the opportunity, tools and knowledge needed to thrive in the agricultural sector.
Greenhouse Farming, Tree Planting, and Composting:
The chosen focus areas—greenhouse farming, tree planting, and composting—have impacts on both the environment and community wellbeing. Greenhouse farming allows for year-round cultivation, ensuring a consistent food supply and income for farmers. Tree planting contributes to environmental sustainability, fostering biodiversity and mitigating the effects of climate change. Composting enhances soil fertility and reduces the reliance on chemical fertilisers, promoting eco-friendly agricultural practices in full-cycle farming.
#InspireInclusion for Trafficked Women and Girls:
By supporting women in agriculture, Bóthar's initiative addresses some of the impacts of human trafficking in Tanzania. Trafficked women and girls often find it challenging to reintegrate into their communities after experiencing such trauma. With this funding provided to DMI Tanzania, Bóthar seeks to provide survivors with a sense of belonging and inclusion and facilitate the reintegration of trafficked individuals into their communities and society.
#InspireInclusion in Girls' Education:
Education is a powerful tool for empowerment. Bóthar recognises the importance of promoting education and training, particularly for girls. The funding initiative will inspire inclusion for girls in education by providing the necessary resources to allow DMI Tanzania to enhance its provision of services in Tanzania through sustainability
By supporting greenhouse farming, tree planting, and composting, we aim to empower women in agriculture, provide equitable participation for trafficked individuals, and inspire inclusion in girls' education. Together with DMI Tanzania, we strive to create a lasting impact on communities, rewarding resilience, enhancing empowerment, and inspiring inclusivity for a brighter and more sustainable future in Tanzania.
