The team are excited as we ready to bid farewell to 40 Bóthar in-calf heifers next Tuesday in Roscrea. These heifers were donated by generous families and communities across Ireland and we thank you all for your continued desire to support farmers who are less fortunate in their circumstances. Our longstanding and hugely impactful livestock programmes would not be possible without you, our supporters, support groups and our partner prisons, Loughan House and Shelton Abbey.
The animals will be with their new families in time for Christmas. Farming families in Kosovo are waiting with great excitement for their arrival and have the training and preparation done, in collaboration with our partner Meshqerra. The gift of opportunity is one which will ripple across the communities in the new year as the heifers will bring income, stability and a more sustainable life to their new families.
